Relationships with Solicitors

I have a solicitor who is a wonderful person. I can’t tell you how much it has meant that I can tell he actually cares about me as a person. However, I’ve been waiting weeks for the production of a document that I was told is simple and straightforward. Furthermore, I’ve asked that the solicitor review some materials I sent and that has not happened either. Deadlines are looming. The exchanges feel a bit repetitive. I recognize the value of remaining with the same legal representation throughout, but when there is a lack of responsiveness and what feels like an inefficient dynamic around exchanges, what advice do people have to set things straight? Costs feel like they are moving out of what is reasonable to expect due to the churn and I’m feeling like a bit of a captive. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hi Paul - you seem to be repeating the same posts? Re. Your solicitor - he was to get the order submitted by yesterday - is that right? Did that happen?
