Kim Beatson will give a short talk interdisciplinary practice
Kim developed and leads the family and dispute resolution team at Anthony Gold. She specialises in all aspects of family law with an emphasis on finance for both married and unmarried couples.
Kim has a substantial mediation practice and receives many recommendations from fellow solicitors.
Having achieved settlements where disputes have been complex and intensely bitter, Kim is aware of the wide ranging skill set which anyone in the family dispute resolution world requires. The key to this is interdisciplinary working and acknowledging that lawyers are not always the best place to assist clients during the separation process.
During the evening event, Kim will be talking to us about interdisciplinary practice and how to work effectively with financial and mental health professionals.
Better Parenting Through & Beyond Divorce:
An internationally-recognized Divorce & Parenting Mentor, Rosalind Sedacca will address how to help parents understand the special challenges they face while co-parenting during and after divorce. She will focus on dangerous mistakes to avoid, consequences for the children and effective ways divorce professionals can better support parents through the process.
She will also recommend books, programs and other resources that will help your clients overcome obstacles and create a more successful co-parenting experience.
Rosalind is co-host of The Divorce View Talk Show and podcast as well as an expert blogger for the Huffington Post and other significant online divorce and parenting sites. Her newest program is Parenting Beyond Divorce: Making Life Better For You & Your Children.
Rosalind will also be talking about a unique project: Broken Circle–Children of Divorce project – through the intimate pairing of portraits with personal narratives by young adults whose parents have divorced, Karen Klein explores the ever present and persisting issue of divorce in our society.
The project gives voice to young adults talking about how their parents’ divorce impacted their lives – then and now. It offers a powerful, succinct testament to how young people navigate the complex emotional seas of divorce. This is not pro or con divorce, but a vehicle to enlighten and inform people who can most benefit by it.
